Finally picked up working on my Seize pièces pour piano solo. It will be a multimedia kind of project: Stories, drawings, sheet music and a CD, with that music.
The book is a collection of contemplation, written down by Berthold Sleuth. Sixteen stories, accompanied by sixteen pieces of (sheet) music and drawings by Bart Koelemaij.
The stories have been written and a book, with those stories and the drawings has already been released – many years ago. The book is written in Dutch, though, and the biggest hurdle will be to translate (or have it translated) into English. I am still deciding if I am going to do that myself, or that I’ll delegate that chore.
This is going to be a project that will undoubtedly take a long time (especially the translating), but the idea has been with me for a long time, now and I really like to pull this one off. And I decided I am going for it.
At this moment in time, I am finalizing the (sheet) music, extracting the images from the original book and will start recording the audio soon.
Just thought I’d let you know.
